The first Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) was founded in London in 1844 with the aim of spreading the Christian message among young men, but also to address their social needs.

Therefore, besides all our social and recreational activities, we also offer activities that invite you to connect with others about personal faith.

The YMCA/YWCA is not a church and does not represent a specific creed. We unite people with love of the biblical faith in Jesus Christ, whatever that faith may look like. As Christians, in the YMCA/YWCA Zurich, we all assume that we want to live out the Christian faith in actively lived out charity. We achieve this above all through fellowship and authenticity.

Everyone, regardless of origin or faith, has a place in the YMCA/YWCA.

Bible Study Lectures.

In that case, our Bible Study Lectures (in German!) are perfect for you - join us!

Our Bible Study Lectures are a meeting place for people who are interested in God and the Christian faith and people who care about the message of the Bible, about Jesus Christ.

Our team prepares the lectures with the help of a theologian, for people who want more in-depth knowledge of topics from the Bible - each series of 5 lectures covers a specific topic - as well as practical advice for everyday life.

Prayer Group.

Our prayer group meets up once a month to pray for the concerns of the YMCA/YWCA Zurich.

We regularly work out to keep our bodies healthy - but what do we do for the upkeep of our relationships?

We are a team of married couples who want to help you do exactly that - keep your relationship with your spouse healthy and strong. We want to offer a platform to discuss marriage issues, learn about patterns of behaviour in your relationship, share ideas with other married couples, and more!
With this experience and with God's help, you can learn knew ways of communicating with and getting to know your partner.

Marriage counselling conversations

Receive guidance and counseling from an experienced married couple and discuss issues that are on your mind. You can meet up for a free opening session and then decide if  it feels right for you. After that, you can agree to meet for three to five more sessions.

Connect with other couples

Listen to what issues other couples are dealing with. Offer advice, or receive it for your own marriage. Be inspired by the stories other couples have to tell.

Weekend couples' retreat

Take a time-out from your everyday routine and use the time to reconnect with your spouse! Gain new inspiration and strengthen your bond. Or is new vigour and vitality what you need in your relationship?
