Open to diversity.

The first Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) was founded in London in 1844 with the aim of spreading the Christian message among young men, but also to address their social needs.

Therefore, besides all our social and recreational activities, we also offer activities that invite you to connect with others about personal faith.

The YMCA/YWCA is not a church and does not represent a specific creed. We unite people with love of the biblical faith in Jesus Christ, whatever that faith may look like. As Christians, in the YMCA/YWCA Zurich, we all assume that we want to live out the Christian faith in actively lived out charity. We achieve this above all through fellowship and authenticity.

Everyone, regardless of origin or faith, has a place in the YMCA/YWCA.

Bible Study Lectures.

Would you like to get to know God's Word better?
Do you want a more in-depth understanding and new insights on current topics in relation to the Bible?

In that case, our Bible Study Lectures (in German!) are perfect for you - join us!

Our Bible Study Lectures are a meeting place for people who are interested in God and the Christian faith and people who care about the message of the Bible, about Jesus Christ.

Our team prepares the lectures with the help of a theologian, for people who want more in-depth knowledge of topics from the Bible - each series of 5 lectures covers a specific topic - as well as practical advice for everyday life.

We regularly work out to keep our bodies healthy - but what do we do for the upkeep of our relationships?

We are a team of married couples who want to help you do exactly that - keep your relationship with your spouse healthy and strong. We want to offer a platform to discuss marriage issues, learn about patterns of behaviour in your relationship, share ideas with other married couples, and more!
With this experience and with God's help, you can learn knew ways of communicating with and getting to know your partner.

Our vision

We want to...

  • strengthen marriages and the autonomy of each partner
  • encourage networking between couples in counseling
  • strengthen relationship culture in congregations

Does this sound interesting to you? Get in touch with us!

We look forward to meeting you.

Inspiring faith.

We believe that every human being needs faith. With us, faith is a central theme, lived out in everyday life.

The following statement by Prof. Dr. Emil Brunner from the book "Werden, Wachsen & Wesen der Christlichen Vereine Junger Männer" sums up our understanding of actively lived out community and Christian charity. Check it out (in GERMAN)!
