Our unique hostel near the small town of Greifensee, ZH. A haven in nature, that still manages to be close to the amenities of town.
Our own well furnished YMCA-YWCA hostel is situated between the small towns of Schwerzenbach and Greifensee, around 900m (0.6 mi) from Lake Greifensee, in a quiet location on the edge of a forest.
There is space in the house for up to 48 people. Among other events, it is suitable for:
In the hostel, there are two common rooms, beds for up to 48 people, and a large basement. It is surrounded by wildlife conservation areas and also includes its own playing field, a fire place and a table tennis table. For reasons of wildlife protection and conservation, camping outdoors is not permitted near the hostel. There is a recreation centre nearby offering an outdoor swimming pool, a miniature golf course, and plenty of other activities.
The hostel will not be rented out for parties. If you are planning on bringing your pets, please let us know in advance.

Per bed, one wool banket and one pillow and pillow slip will be provided. Sleeping bags are mandatory!

Please note that we do not offer a meal service with this hostel. Guests must cook all meals themselves.

Travel time
20 minutes on the S-Bahn train (S9 line) from Zurich main station to Nänikon-Greifensee station, then around 20 minutes by foot from the train station to the hostel.
By car: Approach via Schwerzenbacherstrasse (from the direction of the lake). On Sandbüelstrasse, there is a ban on driving between the neighbourhood of Ocht and the hostel. There are three parking spaces in front of the house. Further (paid) parking can be found closer to the town of Greifensee.

Overnight stays: CHF 17.00 per night and person, for a minimum of CHF 340 (= 20x CHF 17) total per day

These rates include all fees for electricity, hot water, heating, etc. Use of the hostel's landline phone may incur additional charges.
Wait times at key pick-up and drop-off will be charged at CHF 25.00 per hour. If secondary cleaning is deemed necessary, this will be billed at CHF 50.00 per hour.
YMCA and YWCA groups receive a 10% discount.
The following default check-in and check-out times are defined in the rental contract.
Check-ins at 2 PM, check-outs at 11 AM.
Individual check-in and check-out times can be arranged with our house custodians three weeks prior to your booking.
