One-on-one tuition lessons

After receiving a registration, we will consult with the parents to appoint a suitable tutor and send an invoice for the desired amount of tutoring lessons.

Tuition lessons must be paid in advance. Once the first lessons are used up, a new invoice will automatically be sent every quarter year. If no further lessons are required, students must be de-registered on time (at least 2 weeks before all lessons have been redeemed), either in writing or by phone with the Cevi Tuition manager.

Exam preparation courses

After a binding application, we will send you an invoice. The course may only be attended if paid for in advance. Absences can not be compensated on a different date. Generally, there will be no refunds for missed lessons.

Substitution for absent tutors
If we need to cancel lessons due to a tutor being absent, we will notify you in advance. However, we will try to find substitue teachers whenever possible to avoid cancelling lessons.

Social project
As a social project of the YMCA/YWCA Zurich, Cevi Tuition is not profit-oriented. Our expenses per lesson are around CHF 60.00. You can support our Cevi Tuition with a one-time donation or a higher rate per lesson. By doing so, you are helping to provide tuition for students from low-income families.

The YMCA/YWCA Zurich assumes no liability for accidents before, during or after Cevi Tuition lessons or for lost items.

Guiding principles.

How we work.

With Cevi Tuition, we want to help children and adolescents receive a good education by offering a low-cost one-on-one tuition for various school subjects.

Why choose Cevi Tuition?

For many middle school and high school students, we see a great need for school tuition and exam preparation courses. To prepare students for the transfer to high school and / or entrance examinations to Gymnasium, many parents pay for their children to receive private tutoring. However, prices for these kinds of lessons are rarely below 60 CHF. This makes it impossible for many children to participate because their parents can not afford such expensive programs. This is where Cevi Tuition steps in to fill the gap!

The infrastructure and central location of the Cevi Zentrum Glockenhof are excellent prerequisites for realising a variety of different projects. Cevi Tuition was created because we wanted to create meaningful and contemporary offers in this place.

What is Cevi Tuition?

  • We are open to all children and adolescents
  • Our offer is not free, but inexpensive, and seeks to support lower-income families
  • We are not simply a learning institute: We want to be a role model for social inclusion, built on Christian values.
  • Courses are taught by motivated and qualified tutors
